Goodbye Horses is a one-man, "unofficial" retelling of The Silence of the Lambs, built around a deliberately twisted and comic treatment of familiar material. The production itself is better than the final effect: the sound is great and well produced, while the minimal set, lights and props are used well.

Michael Kinnan is clearly well practised in the one-man format. The trouble is that the performance is ultimately flat, and the humour rarely not finds the response it aims for. That is particularly frustrating because the actor seems capable of more than the show gives him to do.

Runs 5–11 August, 13–16 August, 19–20 August, 22–23 August, 26–27 August and 29 August at 8pm.
